Another thing this made me think about is whether anarchy is inherently pessimistic or if there are ways to make it optimistic? I think I'm biased because I think the future needs collaboration and abundance mentalities which I see as mutually exclusive when it comes to anarchy, but I'd like to be proven wrong.
I think collaboration and abundance mentalities can totally be symbiotic and coexisting. I think it helps if there’s preexisting trust between the people working together, and committing to principles of non-violent communication. There’s probably 70 other things that are good ingredients but those two come to mind first, for me.
Nothing is perfect. In any communal setting, there will inevitably be disagreements, rifts, etc. Recently I somewhere saw the phrase, “solidarity over unity”. I think that’s a good attitude to communal projects.
